Maintenance Tips

- Watering: Water regularly during the growing season, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in the winter months.
- Pruning: Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming and prevent self-seeding. Cut back the plant by about one-third after the first flush of blooms to promote a second bloom.
- Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support healthy growth and vibrant blooms. Avoid excessive fertilization, which can lead to lush foliage at the expense of flowers.
- Mulching: Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature. Refresh mulch annually.
- Pest and Disease Control: Generally pest-free, but monitor for slugs and snails. Ensure good air circulation to minimize the risk of fungal diseases.

- Disease Management: Maintain good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal issues. Remove and dispose of any infected foliage to reduce the spread of disease.
