It's being billed as the best Carlow Garden Festival yet - so don't miss this celebration of all things green-fingered, a highlight of Ireland's gardening year now under way until August 4th.
The Festival takes in some very special events at sixteen of the county's best gardens, in the company of some of the most respected gardening experts in the business.
Join RHS Gold Medal winner Paul Martin at the Delta Sensory Gardens in Strawhall Estate for a tour of the garden's amazing multi-sensory features, and listen to Seamus O'Brien, curator of the National Botanic Gardens at Kilmacurragh giving his unique insights into the lovely gardens at Altamont, in Tullow.
Gardening columnist Robin Lane Fox is showing visitors around Hardymount Gardens, also in Tullow, and you can enjoy a walk along the River Barrow in Leighlinbridge in the company of environmentalist and RTÉ personality Éanna Ni Lamhna. There's also a chance to learn how to maintain your summer garden with Irish Times gardening columnist Fionnuala Fallon.
And after you've filled your notebook with tips, hints and advice from these and other workshops, nature trails and garden visits you can put your feet up and enjoy music and entertainment from some of Ireland's best. For more details, visit www.carlowgardentrail.com.
